Backstory:
Lightning coming from ash clouds formed by the phreatic eruption of Taal Volcano as seen from Nasugbu, Batangas, Philippines on Sunday evening, January 12, 2020. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, by six p.m. that day, Eruptive activity had generated steam-laden plumes up to nine miles tall, causing extreme weather events.

The photo was taken in this summer during an airshow held at the beautiful aeroclub airport, which captured the spectator watching the aerobatic plane performing a spectacular aerial acrobatics show.

The yellow colour grading adds a vintage and timeless aesthetic to the frame.

Although the airplane is huge, the man standing in the picture with a clear golden outline is the real symbol of power and control; except for the people and the airplane, all other details in the picture are lightly covered with a layer of dust, which looks both virtual and real, allows the visual centre to be completely attracted to the subject.

The century-old house was transformed into a cultural and creative exhibition area, retaining the empty windows that had been damaged by the vicissitudes of life. Art paintings were hung on both sides of the windows. The old and new buildings in the city that witnessed the changes over the years outside the window were like an oil painting decorated with the window as photo frames.

There is also a beautiful use of colour with the inside of the house having a consistence colour pallet to the outside landscape of buildings. Getting this balance right in towns and cities is a tricky and worthy subject for photographers. We need functional buildings built for our times but it is also important to preserve historical and culturally significant buildings.

The work was taken during the lambing season on the Ujimqin Grassland in March. While the little girl was playing with the livestock, the little lamb mistakenly took the calf as its mother. The calf complained to its owner aggrievedly, which made people laugh and restored a picture of the innocent and happy time of childhood on the grassland.

I hung a feeder outside the window to feed the birds in winter. I noticed that if you sit in front of the window and watch them, the birds begin to hover in flight in front of the feeder to make sure they are safe.

The neverending quest to capture abstract emotions in images.
All the photos of the series are loosely connected by the location they were shot in. A small radius around the city of Regensburg in Germany that I grew up in and have now returned to.
An area that is now one of the most thriving in Germany, but that has been one of the more economically disadvantaged in the past.
The Down- and Upsides of both of these periods and the tension between them can still be found everywhere.
My approach to this series could be described as being a collector of found scenarios that usually only exits in a certain moment in time and that make me stop and take a second look.

This is a set of pictures that will make people think. The images become a way for the narrator. All the technical skills of photography are no longer important, a certain metaphorical similarity between pictures becomes the key. It is a very precious record to feel the impact of time and man-made development on the city.

The storyboard depicts a collection of random items my mom sent me when I told her I missed my childhood home: smoked paprika, horseradish, sea buckthorn, dill, "the only garlic worth eating," homemade sour cherry wine and baby plants, so that my living room could look like hers. She knows I can't find these in France, at least not “the good stuff” as she calls it.

This set of images shows some of the textured colours of Lepidoptera moths. The number of moths is about 9 times that of butterflies. Most people only know them as ugly, huge, and disgusting. Using a mobile phone to take such a set of pictures is to let more people know the charm of biological diversity.

Backstory:
I once rented in an old building built in the 1980s in the main urban area of Chongqing.
Because it is located in the core of Chongqing, and the rent is cheap, it is quite popular for people who come to Chongqing to work. There are also some indigenous people living here, mostly old people.
I often went to the rooftop for a walk when I had nothing to do. Here, I met many residents of the old building and saw their daily life. There was middle-aged man who exercised here early in the morning, old lady admiring flowers, and cleaning lady hanging vegetables on the rooftop... Although the rooftop is small, it witnesses the real life moments of some people in Chongqing.

The rooftop of the old building has the most ordinary scene and is the least noticeable. The photographer records familiar people, scenery and objects with heart and emotion, forming an intriguing theater of life.
