Madrid, Sept 18, 2014. - Huawei announced today a brand new Sponsorship Agreement with Club Atletico de Madrid, by which the company becomes the Spanish soccer club’s global partner. The announcement has been made during a press conference in Madrid offered by Richard Ren, President of Huawei's Western Europe Consumer Business Group and Enrique Cerezo, President of Club Atlético de Madrid, at Vicente Calderon Stadium.

The relationship between the two entities began two years ago with the signature of an agreement by which the company became Atlético’s official sponsor during UEFA Super Cup, which the Madrid team won. The bond is now reinforced thanks to this new agreement whereby Huawei and Club Atlético de Madrid will collaborate for the next two seasons in many communication and promotional activities. The inclusion of Huawei’s logo on the Club’s official shirt and equipment used by players during training sessions is one of the main actions to be carried out for two seasons. Additionally, Huawei will also have LED advertising presence at Vicente Calderon Stadium and the company will install displays in several areas of the club.
