HUAWEI Announce: Mate 9 set for Q1 release in Australia
Sydney, Australia, 12 December 2016: Huawei Australia today announces that the HUAWEI Mate 9 will launch in Q1 2017 and will bring with it a ground breaking new Android experience.
The HUAWEI Mate 9 represents a dynamic combination of state-of-the-art hardware and industry-leading software. The Mate 9’s Kirin 960 chipset puts faster computing at the fingertips of the consumer, and its innovative, intuitive EMUI 5.0 learns and adapts to usage behaviours – using the latest in artificial intelligence – optimising performance throughout the lifetime of the device. These features are combined with the latest camera technology and revolutionary battery capabilities to deliver a smartphone that is always fast, always sharp and always on.
With the Kirin 960, the CPU performance is up 18% and the GPU performance is up 180%*. Additionally the Kirin 960 chipset in combination with Huawei’s machine learning algorithm creates an outstanding user experience. It adapts and understands usage behaviours with 1,000 application acceleration functions. This enables an increase in operation smoothness, in system response and in graphic read/write speed. The HUAWEI Mate 9 also supports faster communication rates and better network signal connectivity up to 600 mbps.
With the HUAWEI Mate 9, Huawei combines a 4,000 mAh high-density battery and SuperCharge technology for a remarkably longer lasting battery life. Huawei’s SuperCharge technology charges faster and safer to keep you connected wherever you go.
The HUAWEI Mate 9 features a second generation Leica dual-lens camera with 2x hybrid zoom. The cameras comprise a 12-megapixel RGB sensor and a 20 megapixel monochrome sensor that work together, supported by image fusion algorithms, to capture and reproduce the most stunning details. Wide aperture effect delivers the best shallow depth of field in the market and industry first pixel binning technology works with the optical image stabilisation to deliver superior night show capability. The HUAWEI Mate 9 also includes 4K video capabilities, a 5-axis stabiliser and a 720p slow motion mode that shoots at 240 fps.
