SYDNEY – May 8, 2018 – At an exclusive technology briefing held this evening by Sydney’s harbour, Clement Wong, Head of Global Product Marketing, and Larking Huang, Managing Director of HUAWEI Australia’s Consumer Business Group, formally announced the HUAWEI nova 3e & HUAWEI nova2 lite to Australia.

Designed for young and dynamic users, the HUAWEI nova 3e and HUAWEI nova2 lite are built on a triple-threat combination of high-end design, performance innovation and exceptional value. This focus on trendy technology, is delivered through features such as dual cameras, face unlock and fingerprint unlock, innovative front-facing cameras, expandable memory and efficient battery management.

The HUAWEI nova 3e features a 16-megapixel and 2-megapixel dual camera, Quick Charge 2.0, 64 GB memory with 4 GB RAM, a 5.84" FullView Display FHD+ screen (2280 x 1080) in a svelte 19.9 screen-to-body ratio. The HUAWEI nova 3e’s display is sharp and precise with retina HD and 432 pixels per inch and a contrast ratio of 1,500:1 for richer colours and more natural skins tones. By mapping 96 recognition points, the HUAWEI nova 3e’s 16 MP front camera ensures the perfect selfie with every shot, a pain point with digital cameras in lower-light conditions result in low-quality, grainy photos and poor colours. The HUAWEI nova2 lite features a 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel dual camera, 32 GB memory with 3 GB RAM, a 5.99" HD+ FullView Display compacted into a 5.5-inch body, a bezel-less 18:9 aspect ratio, which coupled with a 2.5D curve glass panel, supports its sleek body and comfortable grip. Camera functionality is where the HUAWEI nova2 lite excites, sporting a 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel dual rear camera that provides bokeh effects (up to 7 aperture levels) and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera with a 10-level beauty mode, that uses an advanced selfie toning flash to intelligently adjust light for a natural looking images, the HUAWEI nova 3e delivers the perfect selfie anytime and anywhere.

The HUAWEI nova 3e and HUAWEI nova2 lite’s high-precision face unlock and fingerprint technology, is demonstrated in the extensive facial recognition algorithms that allow the device to detect 1,024 feature points of a human face and fingerprint technology that provides unlock speeds of 0.3 seconds. Both the HUAWEI nova 3e and HUAWEI nova2 lite sport the latest EMUI 8.0 system, Micro-SD card slots and a 3,000 mAh battery (13 hours of video playback or 58 hours of music playback).
