Barcelona, Spain, February 24, 2014: Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, today unveiled its range of 4G LTE-enabled devices at the GSMA Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014 including the world’s slimmest 7-inch phablet HUAWEI MediaPad X1, ‘talk and track’ companion HUAWEI TalkBand B1, the 8-inch entertainment powerhouse HUAWEI MediaPad M1, the HUAWEI Ascend G6 4G smartphone and the world’s first LTE Cat6 Mobile WiFi HUAWEI E5786.

HUAWEI MediaPad X1 combines the functionality of a smartphone and tablet to provide an all-round mobile experience. HUAWEI MediaPad X1 weighs 239 g and measures 7,18 mm thin to provide outstanding comfort and ease of use while on-the-go, even when operated with a single hand. The 7-inch 1.200 x 1.920 LTPS HD 10-point capacitive touch display provides an incredibly crisp and dynamic visual experience and features an outstanding 80 percent screen-to-body ratio. The 5.000 mAh battery provides an outstanding 21 days of standby time and more than five full days of continuous use.
HUAWEI TalkBand B1 is the perfect hybrid ‘talk and track’ mobile companion for enhanced connectivity, featuring wireless calling and daily activity tracking on-the-go. HUAWEI TalkBand B1 features a Bluetooth™ 4.1 wireless earpiece, enabling up to seven hours of continuous calling with a 1,4-inch flexible OLED display. It is designed to support wireless calling on both Android 2.3+ and iOS 5.0+ compatible devices, and syncs effortlessly via NFC. HUAWEI TalkBand B1 monitors steps taken, miles covered and calories burned to maintain fitness, and its 90 mAh battery lasts six days without the need to recharge.
HUAWEI MediaPad M1 is an all-round entertainment system on a tablet, featuring an 8-inch 800 x 1.280 HD IPS multi-touch capacitive screen, with Huawei SWS technology, dual front-facing speakers and dual microphones for enhanced sound quality and stereo effects. Powered by a 1,6 GHz quad-core processor and super-strong 4.800 mAh capacity battery, HUAWEI MediaPad M1 supports 8 hours of video playing on a single charge.
HUAWEI Ascend G6 4G brings vibrant color to life with a crystal clear 4,5-inch qHD LCD display and 245 PPI. Running on a powerful quad-core 1,2 GHz processor and robust 2.000 mAh battery with up to 30 percent power saving, HUAWEI Ascend G6 4G is 4G LTE-enabled to make connectivity faster and more reliable than ever. Movies can be downloaded in minutes and work files uploaded in seconds with speeds of up to 150 Mbps.
Connecting up to 10 devices, HUAWEI E5786 offers lightning fast speeds of 300 Mbps; perfect for downloading an HD movie in 30 seconds. It is the first Mobile Wi-Fi to support Wi-Fi 802.11ac 2 x 2 MIMO and, with carrier aggregation, provides unsurpassed connection stability.
At CES 2014, Huawei demonstrated its commitment to delivering exceptional connectivity experiences in the home. At MWC 2014, Huawei will further deliver an integrated connectivity experience to meet the demands of the ultra-wide broadband era by unveiling its dual uplink Home Gateways, a fixed network device running on the VDSL and GE (Giga-Ethernet) networks, and an integrated VDSL + GE + LTE hybrid device, enabling high-speed and highly integrated connectivity in the home. Huawei is also launching its next-generation OTT box, HUAWEI M220, equipped with a powerful media decoder chip to offer quality high-definition videos. In addition, Huawei will demonstrate its first 4G LTE smartphone running on the TD-LTE Carrier Aggregation (CA) network, supporting download speeds of up to 220 Mbps. Huawei is committed to expanding bandwidth by aggregating more carriers and believes this will become a vital feature in LTE-Advanced networks for operators looking to provide a faster mobile broadband experience to consumers.
Finally, Huawei will demonstrate the new industry standard H.265 High Efficient Video Coding (HEVC) format, the successor to H.264. The new format helps meet the growing consumer demands for video on-the-go by adopting new technologies to improve overall streaming, encoding quality, process and timing, with a rate of 1 - 2 Mbps and 720P (1.280 x 720) to transfer standard definition of audio and video.
