HUAWEI Product Ads Win Honors from the World's Leading Advertising Awards Organisations

Shenzhen, China, November 20, 2014: HUAWEI today announced that its advertisements for its HUAWEI MediaPad X1, HUAWEI MediaPad 10 Link, and HUAWEI Ascend Mate 2 smart devices, as well as E5382 router, have been recognised for their production excellence by several global advertising awards organisations including the Australian Cinematographers Society (ACS), The Greatwall Awards, The Guangdong Advertising Awards, China 4A Golden Seal Award. In total, HUAWEI has been honoured with eight awards from the prestigious organisations.

The Mary Day TV commercial by Melbourne-based cinematographer, Aaron Farrugia, which showcases HUAWEI MediaPad X1 pocketed a series of top awards including the Golden Tripod for Branded Entertainment in ACS’ Web & New Media category, The GreatWall Awards’ silver award for internet film, as well as The Guangdong Advertising Award’s Golden Award. Shot on location in Spain, the Mary Day commercial uses HUAWEI MediaPad X1 to tell the story of a romantic encounter brought about through a series of unexpected scenarios.

The integrated commercial campaigns for HUAWEI Ascend Mate 2 and HUAWEI MediaPad 10 Link have been honored with The GreatWall Awards’ bronze awards in the internet film category. At the Guangdong Advertising Award, the E5382 router received an award for excellence in print for its series At the Beach, In the Office, and The Geek. In addition, several of HUAWEI’s commercials for HUAWEI MediaPad 10 Link+ were nominated for China’s 4A Golden Seal Awards in the traditional media category.
