The HUAWEI P10 and HUAWEI P10 Plus, which launched earlier this year, are the successors to the company's highly successful HUAWEI P9 and HUAWEI P9 Plus phones. They both have Leica-branded camera sensors, and both have horizontal dual camera set-ups in the back. Both phones have a solid metal construction and are also pretty thin at 7 mm, which also makes them very light and easy to handle compared to other phones of similar sizes.
Of all the flagships we've seen this year at Mobile World Congress, it's HUAWEI's pair of the HUAWEI P10 and HUAWEI P10 Plus that arguably best fit that bill. both [HUAWEI P10 & HUAWEI P10 Plus] giving us a nice, thin 7 mm-thick metal body, smooth, pleasing-to-hold curves, and a variety of color options and finishes to choose from.
Here, the HUAWEI P10 really started to shine. The lighting was better and that resulted in stronger photos, with improved contrast and colour. I could have stayed there for hours, happily snapping the people who were wandering through and picking up groceries. That's the biggest praise I can give this camera: Eventually, the hardware melted away and I had fun just taking photos.
I was impressed by the ease of use and accessibility of these apps through the watch’s interface. Even if it’s your first time owning an Android Wear watch, you'll find its menus intuitive and easy to understand. Fitness is always important for smartwatch owners, and I’m glad to see HUAWEI addressing this by including built-in GPS, dedicated HUAWEI fitness apps and a heart-rate monitor. I found the heart rate to be accurate.” “My first impressions are positive.
With its excellent performance, HUAWEI MateBook was honored the Best Mobile Product Award at 2016 Mobile Excellent Awards (MEAs), the most influential awards event in mobile field.
HUAWEI Mate 9 received five stars—the highest possible rating from LES NUMERIQUES.
In Best of Android, we take the most important smartphones of the year and compare them side-by-side and in-depth. HUAWEI is not a name that naturally rolls off the tongue when talking about smartphones. Names that do often end up being “Apple”, “Samsung”, “HTC”, “LG” or even “Sony”. This is probably because HUAWEI does a lot of their business in their home of China, but they’ve been moving into Europe and want to make waves in North America, soon as well. The HUAWEI P9 is the latest in a long line of flagship devices that the company sells across Europe, and this time around they’ve partnered with the fabled Leica camera brand. The P9 follows in the footsteps of last year’s P8, and keeps the same lower price while still offering some of the best specs available. With an intriguing dual camera setup that’s either “co-engineered” or “certified” by Leica (depending on who you ask and who you believe) can the P9 put HUAWEI on the map, or is it just another great phone at a great price that doesn’t quite have “it”?
HUAWEIs latest top-of-the-range handset, the 5.2-inch P9, certainly looks like a premium smartphone should -- all aluminium, glass and soft curves. But its also a little safe, lacking the futurist stylings of Samsungs Galaxy S7 Edge, for example.
Apple is still one of the top three smart phones in China, but the recent cool down in sales has as much to do with local competition from HUAWEI and Xiaomi as it does from the economic slowdown. Companies like Apple are going to have to learn to live with a maturing market in some cases, and sophisticated, high quality competition from new Chinese contenders.
