How secure is Huawei Pay?

Huawei Pay offers an easy and secure way to pay by tapping an NFC-capable phone against a contactless payment device or card reader. It is safer than using a physical bank card for the following reasons:

1. Your actual card number is not involved in transactions when you use Huawei Pay. A token (Device card number) is used instead. Therefore, your actual card number is not stored on your phone, nor on Huawei Pay servers, and is not shared with the merchant either.
2. Every transaction requires fingerprint, face, or Payment PIN authentication. The actual payment method will vary depending on your country or region.
3. During payment, Huawei Pay doesn't retain any transaction information that can be traced back to you.
4. The cards added to Huawei Pay receive the same level of fraud protection from your bank as your physical bank cards.
