What should I do to improve my device’s battery life?

Modern smartphone performance has greatly improved, reaching higher speeds and adding new features. But this also means that the devices consume more power then they used to.

We give you some tips to help you extend the battery life and keep your smartphone run longer on a single charge.

Reduce screen brightness

The brighter the display, the faster your smartphone's battery drains. Swipe down from the top of the screen and use the slider to adjust the display brightness, in order to optimize the battery consumption.

You can also enable auto brightness, so the phone will automatically adapt the brightness depending on the surrounding light.

Remember that you don't need full brightness all the time, unless you are using the device in direct sunlight.

Reduce screen time-out duration

Leaving the screen on for too long can affect the battery life. To save power, we recommend you to reduce the sleep time duration from the Display settings menu.

Choose the option which best suits you, but keep in mind that the longer the screen time, the more battery will be consumed.

Use Power Saving mode

When you are about to run out of battery, activate one of the Power Saving modes and increase your battery life.

The normal Power saving mode limits background app activity, reduces visual effects and disables auto-synchronization. In Ultra Power saving mode only, certain apps are available.

Re-boot your device

If the battery is draining faster than expected, try rebooting your device. It is recommended you restart your smartphone at least once a week.

Rebooting will close all the apps running in the background and clear the RAM memory. It can prevent crashes and increase the performance, while extending the battery life.

Check for updates

If you are using an older software version, the battery life might be affected.
