A new push notification on my HUAWEI wearable device (connected to a phone running Android 15) tells me sensitive notification content or sensitive data is hidden |
Problem:
After the user updates their third-party phone to Android 15, new messages display normally on the phone's notification panel, but the push notifications on the user's HUAWEI wearable device show that sensitive notification content or sensitive data is hidden.
Solution:
You can have the notification content displayed on your wearable by performing the following:
- Open the Huawei Health app, go to Me > Check for updates, and make sure that the app is running version 15.0.12.310 or later.
- Unpair the device: Go to Huawei Health > Devices, enter the device details screen, and tap the four-dot icon in the upper right corner and then Unpair device.
- Relink the device: Go to Huawei Health > Devices, tap the icon in the upper right corner, and select Add. Tap the target device and then LINK. In the displayed dialog box asking for access permissions, tap ALLOW.
- Re-enable Notification access:
- HUAWEI phones: Enter the Settings screen, search for and tap Permission Management, and tap the four-dot icon in the upper right corner. Then go to Special access > Notification access > Huawei Health.
- Xiaomi phones: Go to Settings > Privacy & security > Other permissions > Special permissions > Notifications, select Huawei Health, and grant the notification access.
- OPPO phones: Go to Settings > Apps > Special app permissions > Notifications > Huawei Health and select Allow.
- Samsung phones: Go to Settings, search for and tap Special access and then Notification access, toggle on the switch next to the Huawei Health app, and tap Allow in the displayed dialog box.
The preceding settings are for reference only. Actual settings may vary depending on the phone model and system version. It is recommended that you contact your phone vendor for details.
