Linking/Unlinking your HUAWEI router to/from AI Life

Linking the router

After the router is configured, if you have not linked your HUAWEI router to the AI Life app, Not linked will be displayed under the router card on the app home screen when you connect your phone/tablet to the router's Wi-Fi.

To link your router, perform the following:

1. Connect your phone/tablet to the router's Wi-Fi, open the AI Life app, and tap the target router card on the home screen.
2. Follow the onscreen instructions to enter the router's login password, select the target room, and set the device name to complete the linking.
    

   • You can manage the HUAWEI router locally on your phone/tablet, even if the router is linked to another device. To do so, connect your phone/tablet to the router's Wi-Fi, open the AI Life app, tap in the upper right corner and then Add device, tap the target router card on the home screen, enter the router's login password, and tap NEXT.
   • When your HUAWEI router is networked via wireless relay or wired bridge, or is connected to the primary router via HarmonyOS Mesh+ as a secondary router, it cannot be linked to the AI Life app.

Unlinking the router

To unlink your router from the AI Life, perform either of the following:

• Method 1: Open the AI Life app on your phone/tablet, touch and hold the router card on the home screen, and select Unlink device or Delete device.
• Method 2: Open the AI Life app on your phone/tablet, and tap the router card on the home screen to enter the router management screen. Tap in the upper right corner, and go to Unlink device > Unlink on the displayed settings screen.
   

  • To relink the router to the AI Life app, connect to the router's Wi-Fi and perform the linking steps above.
  • If you restore the router to its factory settings, the router will be automatically unlinked from the AI Life app. You will then need to reconfigure the router and link it again.
