Problem

When a phone is connected to a watch and a pair of Bluetooth earbuds at the same time and a workout is started on the watch, the voice broadcasts cannot be played from the earbuds.

Cause

This is due to the design of the watch specifications. In this scenario, the earbuds are connected to the phone, and the watch cannot transmit the voice broadcasts to the earbuds through the phone.

Solution

• If your Bluetooth earbuds support dual-device connection:
  • For HUAWEI FreeBuds series earbuds, refer to Dual connect or automatic audio switch feature on HUAWEI earbuds.
  • For non-HUAWEI earbuds, consult the device vendor for usage guidelines and audio playback rules.
• If your Bluetooth earbuds do not support dual-device connection and you want to hear the voice broadcasts through the earbuds, it is recommended that you:
  • Connect your phone to your watch and Bluetooth earbuds, and start a workout using the Huawei Health app on your phone. Your watch will then be able to link with your phone for synced workout monitoring and you can hear the voice broadcasts from the Huawei Health app and music from your phone through the earbuds.
  • Connect your Bluetooth earbuds to your watch and start a workout on your watch. You will then be able to hear the voice broadcasts from your watch through the earbuds.
