[Huawei] The kids watch is lost

The watch is lost somewhere far away

  • After the kids watch is lost, an admin can use the location and navigation features in the HUAWEI FamCare app to confirm the current location of the watch, and call/chat with the person who found the watch to try getting it back.
  • If the watch is powered off, you will not be able to use features such as Locate, Call, and Chat. You will have to wait until the watch is powered on again.
  • If you are using an Android/HarmonyOS phone, open the HUAWEI FamCare app, touch in the upper right corner, and go to Find watch > Report as lost to enable the feature. The person who finds the watch will be able to call you to return the watch.

Unable to find the watch when it is somewhere nearby

When the watch's network connection is normal, look for the watch as follows:

  • If you are using an Android/HarmonyOS phone, use the Find watch feature.
  • It is recommended that you call the watch to let it ring.
 
  • If the kids watch has been linked with the HUAWEI FamCare app on a phone and the watch is lost, only the main admin will be able to unlink from the watch.
  • Without the permission of the main admin, other people can't link with the kids watch as a normal admin.
  • After the nano-SIM card of the kids watch is changed, the watch's card number will be automatically synced to the HUAWEI FamCare app of admins, who will then able to call the watch and try getting it back. To avoid the use of your lost nano-SIM card, report the loss to your nano-SIM card provider immediately.
  • If you have purchased a new kids watch and a new SIM card, use the HUAWEI ID of the lost watch to link with the new watch. You can enter the home screen of the HUAWEI FamCare app as the main admin, touch in the upper left corner, and go to XX's information > HUAWEI ID (watch) to view the current HUAWEI ID used to log in to the watch.
  • After you log in to the new watch using your HUAWEI ID, the lost watch will be automatically restored to its factory settings when a card is inserted into the lost watch to connect to the Internet. Admins will not be able to obtain information about the lost watch. Exercise caution when performing this operation.
