My foldable phone makes a sound when the screen is bent or pressed |
Problem 1:
(1) The foldable phone makes a sound when it is folded or unfolded.
(2) The foldable phone makes a sound not ever heard before after it has been used for a period of time.
(3) The phone makes a sound, whereas other foldable phones do not.
(4) The phone makes a louder sound than other foldable phones.
(5) The phone makes a sound when being folded or unfolded for the first time, but no longer does so after being folded and unfolded several times.
Solution:
- Foldable phones feature a unique hinge structure, and generates a sound (the sound may vary depending on the individual phone) when being folded and unfolded. This is normal and does not indicate any issue with your phone.
- If the device also feels not good in your hand when the sound is made, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorised Huawei Customer Service Centre for further assistance.
Problem 2:
A sound is made when the screen is pressed.
Solution 2:
- The main screen of the phone is a soft screen, which when pressed is deformed and comes into contact with the components under the screen. Once the soft screen is restored to its original position, it is separated from the components under the screen. It is normal for there to be a sound during this process. Huawei phones have undergone strict performance tests before delivery to ensure durability.
- If you notice any issues while using your device, take it to a nearby authorised service centre for further assistance.
