Problem
After a HUAWEI phone is updated to EMUI 13.0 and connected to a wearable device, the phone does not receive notifications when the screen is locked/off, but the watch is able to receive notifications as normal.
Cause
This is related to the Smart notifications feature in EMUI 13.0, and does not indicate any issue with your phone.
Solution
If you would like both your HUAWEI phone and watch to receive notifications, disable Smart notifications, by opening the Huawei Health app, touching Devices, going to the device details screen, touching Notifications, and disabling Smart notifications.
The Smart notifications switch is only available when your phone is updated to EMUI 13.0 and the Huawei Health app version is 12.1.7.300 or later.
