Call waiting does not take effect after being enabled

Problem:

After enabling Call waiting, the feature does not take effect and the user is unable to receive other calls during a call.

Solution:

Call waiting will only take effect when it is enabled on your phone and the Call waiting service is activated on the corresponding SIM card.
  • Open Dialler or Phone and go to > Settings. If your phone supports dual SIM cards, touch More in SIM 1 or SIM 2 and enable Call waiting.
  • Contact the customer service of your carrier to confirm that the Call waiting service has been activated.
  • If Call waiting does not work for a SIM card on which the VoLTE service has been activated, enable VoLTE HD calls and try again. (Currently, all supplementary services of VoLTE HD calls, such as call waiting, take effect only when making VoLTE HD calls.)
