Th headset connected to my HUAWEI phone/tablet outputs no sound or poor-quality sound (such as electrical interference or popping noises)

If your headset has no sound during calls, or while listening to music or watching videos

  1. Switch to another audio source to check whether the fault lies with the audio source.
  2. Confirm that you are using a HUAWEI-compatible headset, as different headset sequences may cause compatibility issues. For example, you will not be able to use an Apple headset with a HUAWEI device. You are advised to use a HUAWEI-compatible headset with your device.
  3. Check that the headset is completely plugged in and that your device's protective case is not preventing you from fully inserting the headset jack.

If your headset delivers poor quality sound during calls, or while listening to music or watching videos

  1. Switch to another audio source to check whether the fault lies with the audio source.
  2. If the sound quality is causing you discomfort, lower the volume by 1 to 2 bars.
  3. If you are in an area with a weak signal or strong interference, sound during calls may be intermittent. In this case, move to an area with a strong signal or less interference.
  4. Confirm that you are using a HUAWEI-compatible headset. If you are using a non-HUAWEI headset, noise may be heard due to poor contact with the headset. In this case, use a standard HUAWEI headset instead.
  5. If you are using a headset adapter, make sure it's compatible with your phone/tablet, as incompatibility may cause poor quality sounds. It is recommended that you use a standard HUAWEI-compatible headset instead.
  6. Check whether the headset is damaged. Use a different headset and check whether the sound issue persists. If the issue stops occurring when you plug in another headset, it indicates that your headset is faulty. Use a different headset instead.
  7. Noise may be heard if you rotate the headset jack during playback. Avoid rotating the headset jack in order to maintain a proper connection.

If the issue persists, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to a nearby Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
