Problem:

The SIM tray slot of the phone is narrow, and an extra force is required to insert or remove the SIM card tray.

Cause:

To improve the phone appearance and water resistance performance, we have introduced a narrower gap between the SIM card tray and middle frame. The SIM tray has a lever structure and requires a Huawei standard eject pin and a force to remove it. An extra force may be required for a new phone.

Besides, we have added a rubber ring to the SIM card tray on certain phone models to better protect the phones from water damage. This might add to the difficulty of inserting or removing the SIM card tray.

Solution:

1. Vertically insert the Huawei standard eject pin that comes with your phone to remove the SIM crad tray.
2. For a new phone, remove and re-insert the SIM card tray several times to see if the issue is resolved.
3. If the issue persists, back up your data and take your phone and proof of purchase to an authorised Huawei Customer Service Centre for assistance.
