Poor connection when using the Wi-Fi and the Bluetooth at the same time |
Cause:
When using the Wi-Fi and the Bluetooth at the same time, the phone can fail to connect to the wireless network, the network speed can be too slow or you may experience audio issues during a Bluetooth call.
Reasons:
This is due to the fact that both the Wi-Fi and the Bluetooth modules of your HUAWEI phone share the same 2.4 GHz frequency band and they interfere with each other when enabled at the same time.
Solution:
- Disable either the Wi-Fi or the Bluetooth to avoid possible interference.
- If the wireless connection is the faulty one, disable Bluetooth, connect your smartphone to the desired Wi-Fi network, then enable Bluetooth again.
- If you need the Bluetooth connection, temporary disable the wireless network.
- Connect your phone to a 5GHz wireless network if both your device and your router support it.
- To check your phone, open the Settings, go to Mobile Network> Personal hotspot> More and select AP band. If there is a 5GHz frequency band in the AP band, then your smartphone supports this frequency.

- To check if the router support 5GHz networks, please refer to the router manual or contact the manufacturer's customer services.
Please bear in mind that, on some phone models, the 5 GHz Wi-Fi and 2.4 GHz Bluetooth still share the same antenna.
- On your smartphone, open the Settings, search for Reset network settings and perform the reset. This will delete all of your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections. Once completed, check if the connection issues were resolved.
- To check if the router support 5GHz networks, please refer to the router manual or contact the manufacturer's customer services.
- To check your phone, open the Settings, go to Mobile Network> Personal hotspot> More and select AP band. If there is a 5GHz frequency band in the AP band, then your smartphone supports this frequency.
