Introduction to Huawei Share and its User Guide |
Just tap the phone against the computer to project a virtual version of your phone on the laptop. You can control apps and files on your phone easily using your laptop. Drag or tap to transfer files easily between two devices. You can even share clipboard content and documents.
Supported phone models and requirements
Supported phone models: Certain Huawei or Honor phones that support NFC.
Supported computer models:
- Laptops with a Huawei Share icon , and are preinstalled with the latest version of PC Manager. (To check the version of your PC Manager, go to
> Check for updates.)
The actual performance of Huawei Share features depends on the model of the phone and the laptop. For more information, see the Huawei Share Supported Devices & System Requirements.

I. Connecting your phone and laptop
Set up a connection between your devices to start using Huawei Share.

On your laptop: Enable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Make sure that PC Manager is running in the background.

On your phone: Swipe down from the status bar to open the notification panel and enable NFC, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.

Tap the NFC detection area on your phone against the Huawei Share iconuntil the phone rings or vibrates.

Follow onscreen instructions to confirm the connection on both the phone and the laptop.
Alternatively, open PC Manager, click My Phone, and select one of the connection methods such as Search.
When connecting your phone to the laptop for the first time, open PC Manager, then read and agree to the user agreement.
II. Multi-screen Collaboration
Once your phone is connected to the laptop, the phone screen will automatically be displayed on the laptop. You can easily maneuver around your phone with a larger screen.
Control your phone from the laptop
On the virtual screen:
- Clicking: Use the mouse to interact with apps on your phone.
- Scrolling: Switch screens on the phone.
- Typing: Type easily with any text editing apps such as Notepad using the keyboard.
Click to maximize the display and click
to minimize the display.
Seamlessly answer calls and continue videos
Once connected, you can answer calls directly on your laptop.
If you need to switch to your phone, just swipe down on the phone screen to display the notification panel, touch Connected devices and switch back.
Opening files on your phone using your laptop
You can directly open and edit files on your phone using your laptop.
For example, you can open documents, images, and videos stored in the Files app on your phone with your laptop.
This feature is only supported for certain apps. For more information, see the Huawei Share Supported Devices & System Requirements.
- From your phone to the laptop
- Open Gallery or Files on the virtual screen.
- Click and hold a file until it gives you the option to select multiple files. Then click and drag files to the file folders on your laptop, or edit them in documents or emails.
You can also copy and paste text between your laptop and phone seamlessly.

Open Gallery or Files on the virtual screen.

On your laptop, select the videos or images you want to transfer then just drag them to Gallery or Files, or use them in notes or emails.
You can also copy and paste text between your laptop and phone seamlessly.

File sharing
Once your phone is connected to the laptop, you can start transferring files and recording the screen with just a tap.
If Multi-screen Collaboration is supported on your devices, it will be enabled when you tap your phone against the laptop. When your phone screen is displayed as a window on the laptop, keep it open. Closing the window will interrupt the transfer process.

You can transfer:

Images or videos from your phone. Open one or select multiple images or videos in your phone's Gallery.

A document from your phone. Open the document using WPS Office on your phone.

- After transferring an image with text from your phone to the laptop, click
to extract text from the image.

If you open an image or a document on your phone and the computer at the same time, the default transfer direction is from your phone to the computer.

- From your laptop to the phone

You can transfer:

An image from your laptop. To do this, right-click on the image and open it with Huawei Image viewer.

A document from your laptop. To do this, open it using Microsoft Office.

Go to your phone's home screen.

Tap the NFC detection area against the Huawei Share icon until the phone rings or vibrates.

OneHop Screen Recording is available on laptops with Intel processors.

Shake your phone, and within 5 seconds, tap the NFC detection area against the Huawei Share icon until the phone rings or vibrates. Once your laptop screen is projected, your phone will start to record the current screen.

Touch
to stop recording. The recorded content will be saved to Gallery automatically. The maximum single recording time is 60 seconds.
IV Data syncing
You can share the clipboard content between your phone and laptop, as well as sync recent documents from your phone to the laptop.

Open PC Manager, go to My phone > Enable, and follow the onscreen instructions to grant the required permissions for the laptop to access data on your phone. If it shows that it has already been enabled, enable Relay on your laptop, and follow the onscreen instructions to grant the required permissions to share clipboard content.

Copy text on your phone and paste it on the laptop, or vice versa.

Click the PC Manager icon in the lower right corner of the computer screen and select Clipboard to check recently copied text.

Open PC Manager, go to My phone > Enable, and follow the onscreen instructions to grant the required permissions for the laptop to access data on your phone. If it shows that it has already been enabled, enable Relay on your laptop, and follow the onscreen instructions to grant the required permissions to share clipboard content.

Click the PC Manager icon in the bottom-right corner of the taskbar and select Documents to view recently opened documents.
