The copied content is incomplete when I use the Card Copy function to copy a non-ID card

Problem

The copied content is incomplete when the user uses the Card Copy function to copy a non-ID card.

Cause

The Card Copy function is designed for items which are smaller than, or as large as, an ID card. When a card larger than an ID card is copied using the Card Copy function, information outside the standard ID card perimeter is not copied.

Solution

  1. Use the N-in-1 copy function of the AI Life app on a phone to copy the sides of a card onto one piece of paper. The procedure is as follows:
  • Touch More on the Copy screen of AI Life, and set Copies.

  • Select 2-in-1 or 4-in-1 based on the number of sides of the card to be copied. The following uses 2-in-1 as an example.

  • Touch Copy. You will be prompted to place the card on the scanning area, close the cover, and touch Next. The printer starts to scan the first side of the card.

  • After the first side is scanned, open the cover, turn the card over, close the cover, and touch Next. The printer continues to scan the second side.

  • After the second side is scanned, touch Print.

Note: If you touch Print before the scanning roller moves back to its original position, a prompt is displayed indicating that the printer is engaged. Wait for a few moments and try again when the scanning roller is in its original position.

2. Use the N-in-1 copy function of HUAWEI Print on a PC to copy the sides of a card onto one piece of paper. The procedure is as follows:

  • Connect the printer to a PC, click Copy in HUAWEI Print, and set Copies. The following uses 2-in-1 as an example.

  • Place the card on the scanning area, close the cover, and click COPY.

  • The printer starts scanning. After the first side is scanned, click OK. You will be prompted to place the second sheet on the scanning area.

  • Place the second sheet on the scanning area, and press the Start button. The printer starts to scan the second sheet. After the second sheet is scanned, the printer starts printing.
