My new phone's USB port has burrs/black marks

Cause:

All Huawei mobile phones are comprehensively checked before shipment. When the USB charging function is tested, a USB data cable is inserted into the USB port of your phone, which may cause scratch marks to appear on the port in the process. The marks will not affect your normal use.

Solution:

Use a microfibre cloth to wipe away the marks.
