My phone is unable to perform wireless reverse charging

If Wireless reverse charging cannot function normally, follow the steps below.

Check whether Wireless reverse charging is enabled

Go to Settings > Battery and turn on the Wireless reverse charging switch.

Ensure that the battery level is higher than 20%

If the battery level is lower than 20%, your phone turns off Wireless reverse charging automatically. Use the charger to charge your phone to 20%, and then use the Wireless reverse charging function.

Check whether there are foreign objects between the phones

Check whether there are objects between the two devices, such as a transportation card, metal ring, or metallic protective case. If so, remove them and try again.

Check the position of the device to be charged

Check to confirm that the device you wish to charge has been placed on the centre of your phone's rear cover, as the position of the device to be charged affects the charging efficiency. The farther the device is away from the centre, the lower the charging efficiency is, and the device may even be out of range for charging.

Check whether the device supports wireless charging

Check whether the device to be charged supports the QI wireless charging protocol (it is advised that you consult the device vendor). If not, compatibility issues may occur. In this case, use the wireless charger that came with your device for charging.

The QI certification is an authorisation mark issued by the Wireless Power Consortium. Only products that have been certified by the WPC can use the QI certification mark.

Use another device that supports wireless charging

Try using your phone to wirelessly charge another device that supports wireless charging, such as a Mate 20 Pro, iPhone X, iPhone 8, or P30 Pro. If this device can be successfully charged, it indicates that the original device you wish to charge may be faulty.

If the issue persists

If the issue persists, back up your phone data, and take your phone, charging adapter, and proof of purchase to an authorised Huawei Customer Service Centre for assistance.
