FAQs related to SIM lock on HUAWEI phones |
Problem:
What is SIM lock? Why does my phone display a SIM lock screen?
Solution:
- The SIM lock is used by mobile network providers to prevent their contract or customised phones from working with a SIM card from a different mobile network provider. If you are using a contract or customised phone and have inserted a SIM card from another mobile network provider, a SIM lock screen will be displayed. To resolve this issue, insert the SIM card specified by your mobile network provider.
For information about how to check whether a phone is a contract/customised phone, refer to Guideline for the operation of Device Rights.
