Taking a screenshot using your computer

The easiest way to capture a screenshot on your HUAWEI computer is using the preinstalled Windows 10 Snipping Tool.It allows you to quickly take a screenshot and save it to your Clipboard. You can also edit the captured images and add them to your emails or documents in few simple steps.

To capture screenshots using the Snipping Tool, follow either of the methods below:

1.Press the Win, Shift and S keys at the same time. The screen will dim and a menu will appear at the top, allowing you to select the type of screenshot you want to take. You can choose between Free-form Snip, Rectangular Snip, Window Snip and Full-screen snip, according to your preferences. If you choose free-form or rectangular snip, use the mouse to select the area you want to capture.

2.Open the start menu, type Snipping Tool into the search box, and press Enter.Click Try Snip & Sketch and select New in the left-top corner of the pop-up window. Choose the type of screenshot you want to take and, if you select free-form or rectangular snip, drag the mouse cursor across the area you want to capture.

If you want to delay a screenshot, click the down-arrow button next to New and delay the snip for 3 or 10 seconds.

Once you took a screenshot, it will be automatically saved to your clipboard and a notification will be displayed in the lower-right corner of the screen.Click the notification to open the screenshot in the Snip & Sketch app, where you can use paint tools to easily edit it. You can then save and share your edited screenshots.

If the preinstalled Snipping Tool is not working properly, please try the troubleshooting steps below:- if the Snipping Tool freezes occasionally, restart it and then try using it again.- if the Snipping Tool frequently fails, uninstall and reinstall it or try using a different screenshot tool.- use the keyboard shortcuts to take a screenshot. Press Prtsc to take a screenshot of the full screen or press Alt+Prtsc to take a screenshot of the current window, then paste it to the desired location.
