The computer responds slowly to text being input when using USB tethering to share my phone's Internet connection |
If the computer responds slowly when writing a text while using USB tethering to share the phone's Internet connection, this may be caused by an issue with the network adapter drivers associated with USB tethering.
More precisely, during USB tethering, your computer automatically chooses Remote NDIS Internet Sharing Device and installs the default driver for it, causing compatibility issues with the default driver.
As this issue only occurs when using the pre-installed Microsoft input method to type, we recommend, if possible, using a third-party input method while connecting to the Internet via USB tethering.
Also, you can try installing the network adapter driver manually.
To do this, right-click the Windows icon and open Device Manager. Expand Network adapters, right-click Remote NDIS based internet Sharing Device, and click Properties.
Under the Driver tab, select Update Driver> Browse my computer for driver software> Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer.
Uncheck Show compatible hardware, select Microsoft from the Manufacturer list, and Remote NDIS Compatible Device from the Model list.
Click Next to install the driver. If any dialog box pops up during the installation, click Yes.
If the problem persists, try disconnecting and reconnecting your phone to your computer or disabling and re-enabling USB tethering. Huawei has reported this issue to Microsoft, so please stay tuned for further Microsoft Windows Updates.
