[HUAWEI] When linking the watch, the normal admin does not receive an invitation or the linking fails

The main admin sends an invitation by SMS message, but the normal admin fails to receive it

Security management software, such as Phone Manager/Optimiser, may be blocking SMS messages, causing the recipient to not receive the message. It is recommended that you go to the blocked SMS message list and look for the SMS message. If the issue persists, it is recommended that you scan the QR code to link the watch.

  1. Press the HOME button/the button or swipe left when on the kids watch home screen to enter the app list, and touch QR code. A QR code will then be displayed on the kids watch screen.
  2. Download and install the HUAWEI FamCare app on your phone. Then, log in to the HUAWEI FamCare app using your HUAWEI ID, and touch SCAN CODE. After scanning the QR code, configure the relationship with the child.

    If you have previously linked with another watch, open the HUAWEI FamCare app, and touch + in the upper right corner of the home screen to enter the QR code scanning screen.

  3. Follow the onscreen instructions to send a link request. The HUAWEI FamCare app home screen will then display.
  4. (Main admin) Open the HUAWEI FamCare app, and you will be prompted with a normal admin add request. Touch Agree, or open the app, touch Communication in the lower part of the home screen, and go to Notifications > Agree. The normal admin is then linked.

The normal admin receives an invitation by SMS message and enters the verification code, but the linking fails

Ensure that the main admin enters the normal admin's phone number correctly. This should be the same phone number that the normal admin used to register their HUAWEI ID. When using the HUAWEI FamCare app for linking, use the phone number that receives the invitation to register a HUAWEI ID and log in to the HUAWEI FamCare app for linking.

Ensure that the admin HUAWEI IDs and child HUAWEI ID for the kids watch are registered in the same country/region, and that this country/region is also configured on the kids watch.
