Unable to enter the system and the screen turns black during a BIOS update |
When restarting the computer after a BIOS update, the screen turns black and the system crashes or the HUAWEI logo is displayed and then the screen turns black.
This issue normally occurs if the computer suddenly runs out of power and turns off automatically or when it is forced shut down during the BIOS update.
To solve this, press the Power button for 15 seconds to force shut down the computer, then restart the PC.
If the computer restarts normally, update the BIOS to its latest version either in HUAWEI PC Manager or from the official website.
During the update process, connect the computer to the power supply and do not turn it off.
If the computer does not restart normally, press F2, F8, and F10 during start-up and check if these keys work properly.
If they do, press and hold F10 to restore the computer to its factory settings and then update the BIOS on your computer to the latest version in PC Manager.
If the keys do not work properly, your computer's hardware may be faulty.
In this case please back up your data and take your device and a proof-of-purchase to an authorised HUAWEI Customer Service Centre or contact HUAWEI Customer Services for further assistance.
