Unable to transfer screenshots from the computer to my phone using Huawei Share OneHop
Unable to transfer screenshots from the computer to my phone using Huawei Share OneHop |
After updating PC Manager to version 10.0 or above, Multi-screen Collaboration does not work properly and screenshots cannot be transferred from the computer to the phone using Tap to Transfer feature. This is due to the fact that the function of transferring screenshots using Huawei Share OneHop has been removed from PC Manager version 10.0 or above. Screenshots can now be transferred from the computer to the phone only when a trusted app is running on the computer and that app cannot directly transfer the original files to the phone.
- The list of the trusted apps includes:
- Office and WPS apps
- Internet browsers, such as Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Edge
- PDF apps, like AcroRd- tools for viewing .txt files, such as Notepad and Notepad++
- image viewer apps, such as Photos, Paint, Windows Media Player, and Huawei Image Viewer.
- When a trusted Office app is running on the computer and it can transfer the original files directly to the phone, the respective files will be transferred, instead of the screenshots taken by the computer. All you have to do is to enable NFC on your phone and tap it against the NFC area on the computer.
- If no trusted app is opened on the computer, the message ”Tap your phone against the computer to share files” will be displayed on your phone when tapping it against the NFC area on the computer.
- In other scenarios, you can take screenshots using the dedicated tool from PC Manager. To do this, click the PC Manager icon in the lower right corner to enter the notification centre. Then click the screenshot tool icon in the lower left corner of the notification centre.
