If the HUAWEI FamCare app displays Link request sent/Awaiting main admin approval or the watch displays "Awaiting main admin approval" when you use the app to scan the watch's QR code to link it, troubleshoot the issue as follows.

If you are a normal admin

You'll need to obtain the approval of the main admin if you wish to link with the kids watch. Wait for or notify the main admin to approve the linking application in the HUAWEI FamCare app.

If you are the main admin

Cause:

This issue may have occurred because the current HUAWEI ID is not the same as the one linked with the watch. If this is the case, log in to the HUAWEI FamCare app using the HUAWEI ID displayed on the prompt screen after you have linked with the watch.

For example, if you have an old watch which is still linked with a HUAWEI ID that is currently not used to log in to the HUAWEI FamCare app, and you insert its SIM card into your new watch, this issue will occur.

Solution:

1. On the watch: Press the HOME button to go to Settings > Advanced settings, enter "0000" as the initial password, touch Reset watch, and wait for the watch to restart and display the service statement screen.

2. In the HUAWEI FamCare app, touch I'm the main admin (which will appear in orange) to log out of the current non-admin account.

3. Open the HUAWEI FamCare app again, log in to the main admin account, scan the QR code displayed on the watch after it has been reset to its factory settings, and follow the onscreen instructions to link the watch.

If you have forgotten the password of the main admin account, your phone number has been disabled, or the account shown is not yours, please call the Huawei customer service hotline for further assistance.
