Sound leaks from my HUAWEI earphones when the volume is high |
- Open-ear and open-fit earphones are designed to provide a breathable fit, and may be more prone to sound leakage than in-ear earphones.
- To ensure that you hear the content at the same volume level when wearing open-ear earphones as when wearing open-fit/in-ear earphones, the medium- and high-frequency bands of voices are enhanced for open-ear earphones. Therefore, open-ear earphones are more prone to sound leakage than open-fit/in-ear earphones.
If you are using HUAWEI FreeBuds series earphones, sound may leak when the volume is high or when the earphones are worn loosely. This is normal and does not indicate an issue with your device. If you feel that the problem is serious, try the following:
- Adjust the volume to a more suitable level. It is recommended that you avoid volume levels above 50% when using the earphones in a quiet environment, such as at home, in an office, or in a lift.
- Adjust the way you wear the earphones.
- If you are wearing in-ear earphones, such as FreeBuds 5i, choose a larger pair of ear tips to minimise sound leakage.
Since the speakers' frequency response varies by earphones, the perceived volume may differ at the same volume level, and sound leakage may vary as well. Adjust the volume to a comfortable level.
