Troubleshoot the issue based on the phone version.

Versions earlier than HarmonyOS 2.0.0.230

When the phone has a call record of a contact and a default dialling card is set on the phone, calls made from the watch use the SIM card used in the contact's last call record instead of the default dialling card.

It is recommended that you clear the call records on your phone after setting a default dialling card. Your watch will then use the default dialling card to make calls.

Versions later than HarmonyOS 2.0.0.230 and earlier than HarmonyOS 3

  • A call made from the watch uses the default mobile data card set on the phone instead of the SIM card used in the contact's last call record.
  • A prompt indicating that the number you dialled does not exist will be played on the watch when a call is made from the watch.

It is recommended that you set a default dialling card on your phone. Your watch will then use the default dialling card to make calls.

This issue has been resolved in later versions. Please update your phone to HarmonyOS 3.0 or later.
