White spots, filaments, and dust on the camera lens of HUAWEI phones

Problem:

There are foreign objects (such as dust, white spots, fibres, and filaments) on the rear camera of HUAWEI phones.

Solution:

  1. Check whether the rear camera has a protective film attached. If so, the light transmission performance of the rear camera may deteriorate, the sensor may be malfunctioning, or dust may enter the gap. As a result, photos or videos may be blurry. Remove the protective film and try again.
  2. Some special protective cases do not fit well with the camera lens, so dust may enter the gap during use. Remove the protective case and remove the dust.

Refrain from using your phone in a dusty environment.

If the issue persists, back up your data in advance, and take your device and proof of purchase to a Huawei Customer Service Centre for assistance. (Tip: Feel free to call the Huawei consumer service hotline for assistance before going to a Huawei Customer Service Centre.) We will do our best to address your needs.

Remove dust by referring to the following three videos.
