The moon is unable to be identified or is blurred when I take photos in Moon mode with my phone camera

Problem:

The moon is unable to be identified or is blurred when I take photos in Moon mode with the phone camera.

Cause:

Your phone camera only supports identifying a half or larger moon in Moon mode. If the moon is less than half illuminated, it will not be detected.

If the photos taken are blurry, your camera lens may have been blocked by items such as a protective film, or your phone may not have been held stably when shooting to affect the focus.

Shooting in Moon mode

To resolve the issue, try the following:

  1. Use Master AI to automatically take photos:
    1. Open Camera , and select a shooting mode.
    2. Touch AI , and ensure that Master AI is enabled.
    3. Adjust the moon to the center of the frame and gradually zoom in to 10x or higher. If the moon is correctly identified, a small moon icon is displayed, as shown in the following figure.
    4. When the moon is detected and in focus, touch the shutter button to shoot.

Keep your hands stable when shooting with a zoom level of 10x or higher. It is recommended that you use a tripod to help stabilize your phone.

  2. Shoot in Pro mode:

Manually adjust the ISO, exposure time, focus mode, and zoom level to achieve an ideal shooting effect. You are advised to set ISO to 100, S (exposure time) to 1/250, focus mode to MF, and zoom level to 10x or higher.
