Problem
The user can't open Microsoft Store, and the message The server stumbled. Page could not be loaded. Please try again later is displayed. The error code "0x8000FFFF" is also displayed.
Cause
The issue is caused by the Microsoft Store service.
Solution
- Use the troubleshooter of Windows Store to resolve the issue. The procedure is as follows: (Note: If your device is running Windows 11, start from step 2.)
- Click the Windows icon and go to . Follow the onscreen instructions and then select Close.
- After the running is complete, wait for 1 minute and open Microsoft Store again.
- Reset the Microsoft Store cache. Press Win+R to open the Run dialog box, enter wsreset.exe, and click OK.
- You can also check whether any VPN and proxy server are enabled on your computer. If so, set the VPN and proxy server to the default settings.
- Right-click the Windows Start menu and select Run from the shortcut menu.
- Enter inetcpl.cpl and press Enter.
- In Internet Options, go to Connections > LAN settings.
- Deselect Use a proxy server for your LAN and click OK.
If the issue persists
If you still can't open the Microsoft Store after performing the preceding steps, the Microsoft server may be unstable. In this case, try again later.
