The column of the HUAWEI MateView SE (with a standard stand) is detached from its base

Problem

Despite being assembled and mounted on the base, the column detaches when the user lifts the monitor screen.

Cause

1. The column has not been securely mounted to the base.
2. There is a very small possibility that the gap between the base and the column hook is too small for the hook to fit properly.

Solution

1. The correct way to assemble is:
   1. Place the monitor on the desktop with the screen facing down.

      

   2. Hold the base with one hand and column with the other. Push firmly when inserting the column into the base until there is no room between them.

      

2. How to securely engage the hook:
   1. After inserting the column, push the hook outwards.
   2. The assembly is complete when the hook on the base is fully engaged with the column.

      

   

   There will be an audible click when the base and column are securely engaged. If you do not hear that sound, they may not be properly engaged.
