Floor information display for earbuds on the HUAWEI Find Device app

We will keep improving the floor information display feature. However, it takes some time to complete data collection for all areas. In this case, the app may not display the floor information for some areas. We will gradually provide the floor information display feature for more areas. Pleases rest assured. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Using the floor information display feature

  1. Set the earbuds to enter Pairing mode and connect them to your phone.
  2. Enable Find My Earbuds. For FreeBuds Pro 5/FreeClip 2/FreeBuds 6/FreeBuds Pro 4/FreeBuds Pro 3/FreeClip: Refer to here to enable Find My Earbuds (Offline).
  3. On your phone, go to Settings > HMS Core > About, touch and hold the Version number in the middle of the screen to enter the Components list screen, and check whether the following component is updated to the latest version.
    • Find Network: 6.13.0.300 or later
  4. On your phone, go to Settings > HUAWEI ID > Cloud, touch the three-dot/four-dot icon in the upper right corner, select More settings > About, and check whether the Cloud version is updated to 15.0.0.300 or later.
  5. Then, the floor information display feature will be available in the Find Device app. If you are looking for the device indoors, the floor information will be displayed on the map.
    • For online earbuds (the icon next to the earbuds is green), the feature is available only on phones running HarmonyOS 4.3 or later.
    • For offline FreeBuds Pro 5/FreeClip 2/FreeBuds 6/FreeBuds Pro 4/FreeBuds Pro 3/FreeClip earbuds (the icon next to the earbuds is gray), the feature is available only on phones running HarmonyOS 2.0 or later. The floor information display feature is available only on HUAWEI devices running HarmonyOS 2.0 or later, which can report and update the earbuds' location.
