Overview of Power consumption details

Parameters on the Power consumption details screen:

  1. The Power consumption details screen of the user's new phone displays "Used for 181 days".

As designed, the battery usage time is the current time minus the time when it was last fully charged. The system time of a new phone when it is not connected to the network and the time when it was last fully charged are displayed as the default manufacturing time.

Therefore, the battery usage time equals the current time minus the default manufacturing time, which in this case is 181 days.

When you insert a SIM card or connect your phone to a Wi-Fi network, the system time will automatically synchronise with the network time. After you charge the phone again, the correct usage time will be displayed on the Power consumption details screen.

  2. Overview of Battery usage from past  days:

If you check the usage time within two days of the last time that the phone was fully charged, the battery usage time since last full charge is displayed.

If it is more than two days since the phone was last fully charged, Battery usage from past  days will be displayed on the screen.

Note: Full charge means that the battery level is 90% or higher.

  3. Whether Mobile network signal is displayed depends on whether your device supports a mobile network connection (supported on all mobile phones and some tablets with a SIM card). It indicates the signal strength and not the power consumption.

The bar under Mobile network signal indicates the 7 different stability statuses for Mobile network signal, as shown in the following colours:

    • White: No signal. Generally appears when the phone is powering off or in Airplane mode.
    • Red: Weakest signal. The phone is scanning or searching for a network.
    • Green: Strongest signal.
    • Four colours between red and green: Different signal strength levels (the closer to the green colour, the more stable the signal).
  4. Camera on is displayed when the Camera has been turned on, indicated by the blue bars below.

    Notes:

    • If the camera has been turned on only for a short period of time, the blue bar will not be displayed.
    • The length of time that the camera has been accessed by any third-party apps is also calculated in Camera on.
  5. The blue bars below GPS on indicate when the GPS has been turned on. No blue bar is displayed for when GPS was not used.
  6. The blue bars below Wi-Fi indicate the time periods when Wi-Fi was working normally. Please note that if Wi-Fi is disabled, but Wi-Fi+ and Wi‑Fi scanning are not disabled, a small amount of power consumption may still occur. This is normal and you can disable Wi-Fi+ and Wi‑Fi scanning anytime by performing the following:
    1. Open Settings and search for Wi-Fi+ and Wi‑Fi scanning to disable the features.
    2. You can check details about the power consumption of Wi-Fi by going to Phone Manager > Battery > Battery usage > Hardware.
  7. The blue bars below Charging indicate when the phone was charging since it was last fully charged or within the past two days. The bar chart is refreshed each time you enter the Power consumption details screen.
  8. The blue bars below Awake indicate when the phone was awake. No blue bar is displayed for when your phone was idle.
  9. The blue bars below Screen on indicate when the screen was on. No blue bar is displayed for when the screen was off.
  10. The display of the Power consumption details screen is as follows after your phone is restarted:
    1. When the battery level is less than 90%, the records on the Power consumption details screen will not be cleared.
    2. When the battery level is 90% or higher, the Power consumption details records will be cleared.

Note: If the phone has been powered on only for a short period of time, none of the colour bars mentioned above will be displayed.
