My HUAWEI phone/tablet consumes much power outdoors or under direct sunlight

Problem:

The phone/tablet consumes much power outdoors or under direct sunlight.

Cause:

Strong ambient lighting outdoors or under the sun requires high screen brightness for the onscreen content to be clearly visible. If automatic brightness adjustment is enabled on your phone/tablet, the screen brightness will automatically adjust to a higher level under strong lighting to make content easier to view. As a result, more power is consumed due to the higher screen brightness.
