My HUAWEI FreeBuds series charging case heats up during wireless charging |
Some heat may be generated during wireless charging. This is normal and does not indicate an issue with the charging case.
If the charging case heats up significantly during charging, perform the following:
Check the environment
It is recommended that you charge the earphones in a well-ventilated environment with a temperature of 20°C–25°C, for example, on a desk indoors. Avoid charging the earphones in a high-temperature, high-humidity environment.
Ensure that the charging case is placed correctly on the wireless charger
Place the charging case with the HUAWEI logo facing upwards (downwards for FreeBuds 4). Align the centre of the lower half of the charging case with the centre of the wireless charger or with the sensing area of the phone on which Wireless Reverse Charging is enabled. Adjust the position of the charging case until the indicator turns on and remains steady on for more than 10 seconds.
Use a standard wireless charger
Connect the wireless charger to a standard adapter and cable for charging. If you use a third-party wireless charger or a wireless charger that has not obtained the required certification, the charging case may heat up or may even be damaged.
Restore your earphones to their factory settings
Place both earphones into the charging case and keep the case open. Press and hold the Function button for more than 10 seconds until the indicator flashes red to restore the earphones to their factory settings, and then try charging the charging case again.
If the issue persists, take your device and proof of purchase to an authorised Huawei Customer Service Centre for assistance.
