How can I set up the Windows Hello face login?

This operation only applies to computers that support Windows Hello face login.

  1. Press Win+I to open Settings, and go to Accounts > Sign-in options.

  2. If you have set a password for your account, click Set up under Face recognition (Windows Hello), and follow the onscreen instructions to set up face recognition.

     
    • If your computer does not support Face recognition (Windows Hello), the message "We couldn't find a camera compatible with Windows Hello Face" will display under Face recognition (Windows Hello). In this case, you will need to use alternative login methods.
    • If you have not set an account password, the Face recognition (Windows Hello) bar will remind you that you will need to add a password before you can use it as a login option. Click Password and follow the onscreen instructions to set a password for the current account. Then, set Face recognition (Windows Hello).

  3. Click Remove under Face recognition (Windows Hello) to delete your facial information.
