Unable to find my HUAWEI FreeBuds series/WATCH Buds earphones in the Find Device list on my phone/tablet

The Find My Earphones feature shows you the location of your earphones when they were last connected to your device and plays ringtones to help you locate them. This feature is only supported on the following models: FreeBuds 5, WATCH Buds, FreeBuds Pro 2, FreeBuds 5i, FreeBuds Lipstick, FreeBuds 4E, FreeBuds 4, FreeBuds Pro, and FreeBuds Studio.

If your earphones support the Find My Earphones feature, but the device name does not appear in the Find Device list, troubleshoot as follows:

  1. Confirm that your phone/tablet runs EMUI 11.0/HarmonyOS 2.0 or later.

For the detailed list of phone/tablet models, see Find a lost pair of HUAWEI FreeBuds series earphones.

  2. Log in to your HUAWEI ID on your phone/tablet, enable Find Device, and connect the earphones to your phone/tablet via Bluetooth.
  3. On your phone/tablet, go to Settings > Bluetooth, touch the Settings icon next to the name of the earphones, touch Rename to modify the name of the earphones, and then touch OK. Then, check whether you can find the earphones in the Find Device app.
  4. Place the earphones in the charging case and keep the case open. Press and hold the Function button for at least 10 seconds until the status indicator flashes red, which indicates that the earphones have been restored to their factory settings. Then pair the earphones once again.

If you're using WATCH Buds earphones, go to Settings > Manage earbuds > More settings > Reset earbuds on the watch to restore the earphones (but not the watch) to their factory settings, and pair them once again.

If the issue persists, take your device and proof of purchase to an authorised Huawei Customer Service Centre for assistance.
