Problem:
The phone freezes momentarily when switching users.
Cause:
All resources need to be re-initialized during the switchover between MainSpace and PrivateSpace, as well as between Owner and Sub-user modes. The re-initialization process is similar to that when powering on a phone. The switchover speed is affected by the number of apps installed in Owner mode, Sub-user mode, and PrivateSpace, and also by the size of app data/cache accumulated from daily use. A greater number of installed apps will lead to a longer re-initialization process. The switchover will slow down if the app data/cache is of a large size.
If the screen is locked during the switchover, the phone screen will turn on when the switchover is complete. This is normal.
- EMUI 5.1: A message will be displayed, informing the user of an ongoing switchover. If the screen is locked during the switchover, the phone screen will turn on when the switchover is complete.
- EMUI 8.0: No message is displayed when the switchover is initiated. If the screen is locked during the switchover, a message will be displayed on the screen when the switchover is complete.
- EMUI 8.1 or later: No message is displayed when the switchover is initiated.
- EMUI 10.0.1 & Magic UI 3.0.1: A message is displayed, informing the user of an ongoing switchover.
