Use the virtual desktop function

Place specific programs on different desktops to customize working environment for various tasks using virtual desktop.

To set up a virtual desktop:

Click the Task View icon on the taskbar.

• Click + under New desktop in the top-left corner of the screen to create a new desktop.
• Click a specific desktop to display the virtual desktop.
• Click the Task View icon on the taskbar, and then click x in the top-right corner of the desktop icon to close the virtual desktop.

Use shortcut keys to control virtual desktop:

• Open Task View page: Press Win + Tab keys at the same time, or slide up the touchpad with three or four fingers.
• Create a virtual desktop: Press Win +Ctrl + D key at the same time.
• Switch between different desktops: Press Win + Ctrl + left or right arrow key at the same time, or slide left or right on the touchpad with four fingers.
• Close virtual desktop: Open the virtual desktop that you want to close, press Win + Ctrl + F4 key at the same time.
