[HUAWEI] Indoor run distance is inaccurate |
Possible causes are as follows. Perform the following operations to troubleshoot the issue.
Check the Profile settings
Your wearable device uses its sensors to collect your workout data such as step count, and then calculates the workout distance with reference to your body parameters. Therefore, remember to swing your arms properly during a run, for better fitness results and data accuracy. In addition, check that your personal information logged in the Profile section on the Huawei Health app is correct, including Gender, Height, Weight, and Date of birth, to ensure more accurate distance calculation.
Manually correct the distance
- If you've started an Indoor run session on the Huawei Health app:
Once you've finished running, a prompt will automatically pop up on the app asking you to confirm the distance. You can make corrections based on the treadmill data if necessary, to enhance distance data accuracy.
- If you've started an Indoor run session on your wearable device:
Once you've finished running, you can correct the distance when you're prompted to, based on the treadmill data, to enhance distance data accuracy.
Manual distance correction is supported only after an individual indoor run session ends.
Keep your measurement device with you throughout the run
If you start a run on the Huawei Health app but don't carry your phone with you while running, no data could be collected by the phone. That's why the running distance may turn out to be zero.
If you don't like running with a phone, it is recommended that you start workout sessions on your wearable device instead and keep it on your wrist throughout, to enhance running data accuracy.
