HUAWEI Mobile WiFi and HUAWEI CPE can't identify my SIM card |
Problem
HUAWEI Mobile WiFi and HUAWEI CPE can't identify the inserted SIM card. As a result, the user can't access the Internet.
Solution
- Use an intact standard SIM card that matches the card slot.
- Check whether the metal surface of the SIM card is dirty. If so, clean the surface to avoid poor contact.
- If your SIM card is clipped by yourself, the SIM card may be loosely installed in the card tray due to its irregular shape. If this is the case, take your ID card and go to a nearby carrier service center to replace it with a standard SIM card.
- Power off your device, reinstall the SIM card, power on the device, and try again.
- Check whether the SIM card has usage restrictions.
Contact the carrier of the SIM card and check whether there are any restrictions on the SIM card. If so, remove the restrictions or change the SIM card and try again. For example, after an IoT card has been linked with a device, the card can't be linked with any other devices.
- Replace the SIM card and try again.
Replace the SIM card with another SIM card that works properly and check whether the issue persists. If not, your SIM card may be faulty. In this case, contact your SIM card's carrier. Otherwise, take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
Don't insert a SkyTone SIM card into other devices. Otherwise, the card will be locked.
- Insert the card into another device.
Insert the SIM card into another device and check whether the issue persists. If so, your SIM card may be faulty. In this case, contact your SIM card's carrier. Otherwise, take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
If the issue persists, contact Huawei hotline or go to Huawei Customer Service Center for more information. Thank you.
