Log in to and use Find Device using a browser

This knowledge also applies to tablets.

You can use a browser to visit the official HUAWEI Cloud website (cloud.huawei.com) to access Find Device.

1. How to log in to Find Device using a browser on the phone?

Log in to the official Huawei Cloud website (cloud.huawei.com), touch Find Device, select the device model, and then you can perform operations including Locate device, Lost mode, and Erase data.

2. How to remove a device?

After logging in to Find Device using your phone's browser, select the device model to be removed, and touch Remove. You need to verify the password of your HUAWEI ID before the device can be removed.

3. How to erase data?

After logging in to Find Device using your phone's browser, select the device model. After your phone has been located, touch Erase data to erase all data on your phone (data on Cloud will not be erased). You need to verify the password of your HUAWEI ID before data can be erased.

 

• After erasing data, the phone will be indicated as offline on the Cloud. However, after the phone is connected to the Internet and enters the activation lock screen, data will automatically be sent to the Cloud. You will still be able to locate it, and track its position.
• After erasing data, only the location function will be available.
• If you have set a security phone number or email address for your HUAWEI ID and the security phone number is not the same as your HUAWEI ID, you will be asked to enter an SMS verification code when attempting to erase data. You can choose to send the verification code to your security phone number or email address. If you have set both of them, the verification code will be sent to the security phone number by default. You need to log in with the SMS verification code sent by HUAWEI ID.

4. How to make the phone play a sound?

After logging in to Find Device using your phone's browser, select the device model. After your phone has been located, touch Play sound to make your phone to play a sound at its maximum volume. The Play sound option will be grayed out if your phone can't be located.

5. How do I lock the device using Find Device?

After logging in to Find Device using your phone's browser, select the device model. After your phone has been located, touch Lock device. You can set a lock screen password for your phone if it has not been set. If the lock screen password has been set, you will not be able to set it again in Find Device. You can leave a message on the locked phone, which will be displayed on its lock screen.
