Horizontal and vertical lines appear on the HUAWEI Vision screen

Problem

One or more horizontal lines, vertical lines, or crossed lines appear on the HUAWEI Vision (as shown in the following figures).

Cause

  1. The screen may be faulty.
  2. This may be caused by interference from the signal source.

Solution

  1. Switch to the HUAWEI Vision home screen and check whether lines still exist. If not, the issue does not lie with the HUAWEI Vision.
  2. If you have connected an external device to the Vision, such as an STB or OTT STB, power off the external device or disconnect it for a while, and then check whether there are still lines on the Vision screen.

    If the lines disappear, the signal processing capability of the STB may be poor. As a result, the channel logo flickers due to the output signal problem, causing the residual image of the channel logo. This problem is caused by the signal source of the STB. You can change the output resolution of the STB to 1080i@50. If this option is unavailable, you can change the resolution to an option that contains the letter i. For details about how to set the resolution of the STB, consult the STB carrier or supplier.
