Install and update the driver for a HUAWEI laser printer

You do not need to download the driver for a HUAWEI laser printer separately

  • HUAWEI Windows computers: If you use Huawei PC Manager to configure a HUAWEI laser printer, Huawei PC Manager will automatically download and install the printer driver.
  • Non-HUAWEI computers running Windows, macOS, and Linux: If you use the Huawei Print client to configure a HUAWEI laser printer, the printer driver will be installed during the process of installing the Huawei Print client and configuring the printer.

Update the driver for a HUAWEI laser

  • Update the driver in Huawei PC Manager

    After a printer is connected to a HUAWEI Windows computer using Huawei PC Manager, the more icon on the PC Manager home screen will be marked with a red dot when a new version is available for the printer driver. Touch the icon in the upper right corner, go to Settings > Connections, find the printer, and select UPDATE.

  • Update the driver by updating the Huawei Print client
    1. After configuring the printer using the Huawei Print client, start the client (for example, PixLab Series_Huawei Print), click the icon in the upper right corner, and go to Settings > About to view the version of the client.

    2. Go to the official website of the printer (https://consumer.huawei.com/en/printers/pixlab-x1/), swipe down to find Driver download, and check whether the Huawei Print client version is the same as that installed on your computer. If not, download and install the latest version. You can then install the new driver during the installation and configuration of the printer.
