Unable to use apps that require the microphone, camera, and location permissions on my HUAWEI P50 Pocket/Pocket S

Problem:

  1. AI Voice cannot be woken up on the cover screen. (When the phone is folded and the user enables some features supported on the cover screen using AI Voice, such as when saying "Open the camera" or "Start timing", AI Voice will respond "OK", but nothing is displayed on the cover screen.)
  2. Fingerprint unlock can be used on the cover screen, but face unlock is not available. Apps such as Camera, Mirror (not applicable to Pocket S), and Meitu Pic are not available on the cover screen.
  3. After navigation is enabled on the cover screen, the navigation location doesn't refresh, and the routes in the Health app are in the wrong order.

  • The cover screen doesn't support face unlock. Only fingerprint unlock is supported.
  • Camera and Mirror (not applicable to Pocket S) are not available on the cover screen.

Microphone

AI Voice, Recorder, etc.

  • AI Voice can't be woken up by voice command.
  • The voice prompt is unclear after AI Voice is woken up by pressing the Power button.
  • Recorder isn't available.

Location

Navigation and location apps

  • Navigation location doesn't refresh.
  • The routes in the Health app are wrongly ordered.
  • Find Device is not available.

Solution:

  1. Some features on the cover screen cannot be woken up using AI Voice. To use these features, manually open them, or unfold the phone and use AI Voice.
  2. In Super Privacy mode, the camera, microphone, and location information cannot be used. Disable Super Privacy mode and try again.
    • To do so, go to Settings > Privacy > Super Privacy.
